I don’t know about you but Spring makes me foggy. After months of the cold and snow and living indoors I find myself aching to be outside, while at the same time, just overrun with creative ideas and desires. What’s a girl to do?
Tree Pose.
If you’re anything like me, and I bet you are, your head is in the clouds right now. It’s up there floating around thinking about all the neat things you want to do, create and share with the world. But, alas, nothing is getting done. It’s time to come back down to Earth for some serious re-connecting. It’s time to dig your toes into the dirt or your carpet or that green grass that keeps calling to you from your backyard.
It’s time to quiet your mind by sending those thoughts and some metaphorical roots deep into the ground. It’s time to relax, take some breaths and really let go off all that chatter.
Try doing Tree Pose at various times during your day until you find the time that resonates with you – sunrise, mid-afternoon when the kids are napping or after supper just before your cup of chai tea. Find that perfect time and practice holding this pose for 15 seconds at a time. Then 30 seconds. Build up your practice slowly while you focus on how it feels in your head and your body.

~Am I taking time out each day to just relax and be by myself for a moment? If I’m not, why?
~Is there anything on my mind that I could talk to someone about? Could this someone give me a fresh perspective?
~Am I telling myself each day that I’m awesome and have so much to offer those around me?
