Last nite I snuck into Chapters to get a bird reference book. I also veered by the photography section only to see that ‘Instant Love’ by Susannah Conway, Jennifer Altman and Amanda Gilligan was finally on the shelves! I have an extensive vintage, toy, digital and Polaroid collection of cameras. They are, besides my kids, my pride and joy. I’ve been watching for this book for months now and so glad I picked it up.
It inspired me to dig out my Polaroid Land Camera 210. It was still full of Chocolate pull apart film so I ran outside and took a few shots of my yard! Oh my. Chocolate film. Gooorgeous.
This is my camera-I bought it for $10 at a second hand store-still works like a charm. The film part that is left behind after I peel off the pics (below) is on the right.

These are the 3 shots that I took. No editing whatsoever. I scanned them and posted them. Note the different chocolate tones-so rich! Can you see my babes sitting under the feeder?
This birdhouse is currently occupied by many squawky fresh bird babies. Watching the mama feed them is how I start my mornings lately.
My house. See on the right? Sometimes when you pull the film out of the camera some of the developing fluid leaks. It gives the image a truly vintage feel. Just love it!
Well, the sun is shining and I’ve got some squawky kids that are looking for lunch…I’d love to hear from you if you also love photography – vintage or new – I’m always looking for creative guest posts to share with my readers and I have a soft spot for Photographers!

Oh, wow – I loves me some Polaroid cameras too — and your vintage collection is super cool! I got a new fangled “mini” (credit card size photos) from Fuji year before last (before the Polaroid film bounced back), and we’ve had a blast at several birthday parties making fun pix with it. I’m also finding it a great tool to keep on hand when helping folks make Vision / Dream boards (a photo of yourself that you enjoy in the center of the board is sometimes easier with a right here-right now instant photo!). Thanks for mentioning the new “Instant Love” book too … what fun … so glad you shared all this awesomeness!!
Where did you get the film? Is there any left to purchase?
I got it, at the time, from http://www.theimpossibleproject.com. I’m not sure if there is any left. Sorry.
