This was our last week of summer holidays and we decided to finish them with a bang!
Our very good friends (my hubby’s BF, D., since grade school) have 2 adorable little boys. By a kooky twist of fate, N.(D’s wife) and I were both pregnant at the same time for both of our last 2 kids, and we lived 10 hours apart! So, our 4 year olds and our 2 year olds are within weeks of being the same age. When we all get together, it’s a little crazy!
On Saturday, we decided to take the boys for a few hours so that D. and N. could sneak off to movie alone. I, of course, knew that we had to paint with them. Oh my, was it fun!
Here we are, just getting started.
My Ethan, contemplating his next brushstroke.
My favorite shot of the day!
So proud of himself.
The palette of a 2 year old. Do you see the Peace sign?
Painting with toddlers is so refreshing!
They have no expectations.
Their inner critic lives in Hawaii – never saw him. Not once.
They jump, they laugh, they want us to revel in each and every splatter of paint that makes it to their picture. Every splatter.
They aren’t thinking about the final product. They are enjoying every, single second of the process.
Smart little buggers.
